When you tap a surface tile that matches an active bucket, it instantly flies inside. If there is no active match, the tile sits in your tray, which has limited space. Clearing a bucket automatically unlocks the next one, pulling any matching tiles from your tray into the new bucket to save you space and keep the puzzle moving forward.
